Before you choose

Measure the woman, not the label.

Our size chart uses body measurements rather than finished garment measurements. Measure yourself over well-fitting underwear or light clothing, keeping the tape comfortably close without pulling it tight.

Compare your bust, natural waist and hip measurements with the chart below. If different areas fall into different sizes, choose the size that corresponds with the largest measurement relevant to the garment.

Product pages may include additional notes about stretch, structure, ease and intended silhouette.

A helpful measuring tipKeep the tape parallel to the floor, stand naturally and avoid holding your breath. If possible, ask someone to take your measurements.

Details that can change the fit

What if I am between two sizes?
For fitted or structured pieces, we generally recommend the larger size unless the product page advises otherwise.
How do structured fabrics fit?
Brocade, tweed and other woven fabrics may offer little or no stretch. Choose according to your largest relevant measurement.
What about stretch fabrics?
Stretch varies between fabrics, so follow the product-specific fit note.
My top and lower body are different sizes. What should I do?
Choose according to where the garment is most fitted. For one-piece garments, use your largest relevant measurement.
Can I request a different length?
Some designs may allow length adjustments. Contact the Atelier before ordering.
Are these garment measurements?
No. The chart contains body measurements. Garment-specific measurements will appear on the product page.
